The Great Hunters is an engaging story and an enjoyable read. It brings back the spirit of good science-focused “hard sci-fi” of the mid-late 20^th century.

This is a super story, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The characters are all interesting, particularly Sara and Jayne. I came to feel quite close to them! And Mike is delicious. Even the nasty Admiral is fun. But I think the star of the show was the science, in all forms. I’m so accustomed to authors finding ways around logical explanations for events in their stories that it was a pleasure to feel drawn into details and theories about how things work or might work in space. If you were fudging some stuff, I’d have no way of knowing it. Everything just felt so real to me. Bravo!
